Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are a popular cosmetic dental treatment option that can improve the appearance of your smile by correcting various dental imperfections. They are typically made of porcelain and are custom-designed to match the shape, size, and color of your natural teeth.

Veneers can correct a range of cosmetic issues, such as chips, cracks, gaps, and discoloration. They can also be used to improve the appearance of misshapen or crooked teeth. With proper care, veneers can last for many years and provide you with a beautiful, confident smile.

Veneers vs. Bondings:
What is Better for Me?

Both veneers and bonding are effective cosmetic dental treatments that can improve the appearance of your teeth, but the choice between the two depends on your specific needs and the extent of the dental imperfections you want to correct.

Bonding is a process where a tooth-colored resin is applied to the surface of the tooth and shaped to correct minor cosmetic issues, such as chips or small gaps. Bonding is typically less expensive than veneers and can be completed in a single visit to the dentist's office.

Veneers, on the other hand, are thin porcelain shells that are custom-made to fit over the front of your teeth. Veneers are typically used to correct more significant cosmetic issues, such as larger gaps, deep discoloration, or misshapen teeth. Veneers are more durable than bonding and can last for many years with proper care.

The best way to determine which option is better for you is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Nina. She can evaluate your dental needs and recommend the most appropriate treatment option.

What are Our Dental Crowns Made of?

At iSmiles Dentistry, we use a variety of materials for dental crowns, depending on the patient's needs and preferences.

Porcelain crowns are a popular choice as they closely mimic the appearance of natural teeth and are very durable. They are also stain-resistant and long-lasting.

Zirconia crowns are another popular option due to their strength and durability. They are also biocompatible, meaning they are unlikely to cause an allergic reaction or other complications.

Metal crowns, typically made of gold or other metals, are also available. While they are very strong and durable, their appearance is not as natural-looking as porcelain or zirconia crowns.

During your consultation, we will discuss the pros and cons of each material and help you choose the best option for your specific needs.

What if I am Missing
Several Teeth in a Row?

If you are missing several teeth in a row, there are a few different options available to you.

One option is a dental bridge, which is a custom-made restoration that uses adjacent teeth or dental implants as support to fill in the gap. The bridge typically consists of two dental crowns on either end of the gap, with one or more false teeth in between.

Another option is a partial denture, which is a removable appliance that can replace several missing teeth. Partial dentures are typically made of a combination of acrylic and metal and are designed to fit comfortably in your mouth while also looking natural.

A third option is dental implants, which can be used to replace one or multiple missing teeth in a row. The implants are surgically placed into the jawbone and function as artificial tooth roots, onto which a dental bridge or overdenture can be securely attached.

The best option for you will depend on several factors, including the location and extent of your tooth loss, the health of your remaining teeth and gums, your budget, and your personal preferences. A consultation with your dentist can help determine the best treatment plan for your individual needs.
